Resolution No. 1
I love the opportunity a clean slate brings. The year is fresh. The possibilities are boundless. I build lists of goals, to dos, and things that I will make happen. Then because of my love of turning chaos into order, I make more lists of how and when to do everything. Then because I hate following directions, believe it or not even my own, I don’t follow the lists because I hate ‘having’ to do anything. Then I don’t accomplish my goals! I am my own worst enemy! What I’ve learned is that I really do love the lists, because I am forgetful and I like crossing things out, but I don’t like a timeline. I am not a linear person, I am a wanderer. I like to allow for opportunities to arise and the flexibility to let me follow them. What, I don’t like feeling disappointed in myself for not getting today’s tasks done.
Resolution No. 1: Let Myself, Be Myself.
I like my goals, I am an over-achiever when it comes to things I am passionate about. I am going to keep those goals coming, I am just going to handle what I can, allow for interesting distractions, and keep moving forward. If I don’t accomplish something on my list. Move it to another day! I am going to allow my own personality & passions to guide my everyday life, I am going to be less rigid, and more forgiving of myself. I think it’s going to be a great year!
More to come! Thank you for reading!
