Resolution No. 2

This year my holiday season was so great, that I had the opportunity to purchase some creative indulgences. It definitely paid off that I am an instructor at a local university because I was afforded an educator’s discount! I purchased… wait for it… ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE DESIGN PREMIUM! I thank God for you who read this and have found that to be exciting. I only have a friend or 2, and my husband who can see the sparkle in my eye who knows how truly big of a deal this is to me. I now am the proud owner of Photoshop CS5.1 which includes Adobe Bridge & Camera Raw; Adobe InDesign CS5; Adobe Illustrator, which I know nothing about but can’t wait to learn; DreamWeaver, which I use to update my website; and a handful of exciting others that I can’t wait learn about. I am going to take this year as an opportunity to really find out what my passions are and follow them.

Resolution No. 2: Immerse Myself & Wander Through.  

I am going to make this year an adventure. I am going to wander around, find what is interesting to me, and I am going to learn it. No pressure, just swimming through what is passionate to me. I have begun this  process of learning by purchasing several interesting training manuals and by signing of for Lynda.com. It is a website that host thousands of online tutorials for anything from social media to photography to every Adobe program there is! It’s the best way to teach yourself new creative programs I have ever seen. You can go at your own pace, you can repeat segments of the courses if you don’t understand them. This just works for me! I am a week into my photography & Photoshop training and I have already learned so much. I have also growing list of interesting class topics that thrill me and that I will take as time allows! This year is going to be so great!
