Christmas has Come Early, Revisited.
In December, I created a post talking about Christmas coming early. If you happened to read it early in the day, there were 3 reasons I was so thrilled about the day: a new bag, a new book, and a surprise romantic trip from my husband for our anniversary. I mentioned that I posted about this to Luke, hoping he’d see how excited about our trip I was and he said “Now everyone will know when we will be gone, and come rob us.” Or that was the gist of it. I am just a trusting person and wouldn’t think of that. So, I said alright, and removed the third part of my post. Well to get to the point, Luke surprised me with the most romantic trip I’ve ever gone on. A trip to Savannah, Georgia! This might need a little bit of explaining.
I graduated with a degree in interior design and have worked for an architect for several years, so that I could get the knowledge to design our house. It took a few years to re-route my brain, but thanks to my boss Chip, my mentor, I think like a designer. Luke & I have been tossing around the idea of building a house for years it changes daily whether it’ll be sooner or later. A long time ago, I mentioned to him that I want to go to Savannah and take pictures of architecture for inspiration before we design our home. So, for our fifth anniversary, this past November, Luke took me out to dinner, surprised me with flowers & my favorite champagne, and a wrapped gift. The gift was a guide book for Savannah, Georgia. He had booked tickets to Savannah, and I got to pick out the Bed & Breakfast!
So my romantic husband, took me to place I’d been dreaming about going to, and spent 3 days taking photos with me of Savannah, in Savannah.
I will tell you more about the trip soon!
For now, Have a great day!
